Volunteering

The following are some of the local organizations that the Flip Foundation will support via volunteer activities:

Tarrant Area Food Bank

A group of us will pack and distribute donated food where needed. This is a three hour opportunity to volunteer.  There is also an opportunity here to get dirty while helping to maintain their community garden.

Community Food Bank

Here you will be marking out barcodes on canned foods , non perishable food items and making grocery bags , that are the foundation of the food boxes that are distributed. Usually between 9am -11 or 10am till noon

The Welman Project

Teachers are able to donate what they no longer need, those items are housed at our warehouse and we organize the rather massive pile of donations over the summer in preparation for back-to-school in August. The more helping hands the better! Volunteer tasks mainly involve organizing and sorting incoming donated items, however sometimes they have furniture restoration and painting projects too! Just depends on number of volunteers and skill level.
